For a business to be successful it must not only produce quality products it must also successfully market those products. The process of marketing is not only limited to the advertising of a product but goes further by identifying customers’ needs and wants, determining which target markets the organization can serve best, and designing appropriate products, services and programmes to serve these markets. Real marketing does not involve simply selling what you make but rather knowing what to make. It is important for business students to have a sound knowledge of the marketing principles and processes.
